Trustee
A third party or entity appointed to manage a trust is responsible for overseeing the trust's assets and ensuring the terms outlined in the trust document are followed. This role involves:
- Managing financial assets: This includes handling checking and savings accounts, investments, and any other financial resources within the trust. GaPS has a long standing relationship with the Kirkwood Bank Trust Department. They oversee the financial management of all assets. GaPS requests and approves the expenditures on behalf of a client.
- Ensuring compliance: GaPS and Kirkwood Bank must ensure that all actions taken are in line with the stipulations of the trust document.
- Providing support: GaPS offers guidance and support to beneficiaries, helping them understand their rights and benefits they are entitled to under the trust.
- Maintaining transparency: Beneficiaries are entitled to ask for a status of their trust at any time and must be informed of any significant changes or decisions made.
