A third party or entity appointed to manage a trust is responsible for overseeing the trust's assets and ensuring the terms outlined in the trust document are followed.  This role involves:

  • Managing financial assets:  This includes handling checking and savings accounts, investments, and any other financial resources within the trust.  GaPS has a long standing relationship with the Kirkwood Bank Trust Department.  They oversee the financial management of all assets.  GaPS requests and approves the expenditures on behalf of a client.
  • Ensuring compliance:  GaPS and Kirkwood Bank must ensure that all actions taken are in line with the stipulations of the trust document.
  • Providing support:  GaPS offers guidance and support to beneficiaries, helping them understand their rights and benefits they are entitled to under the trust.
  • Maintaining transparency:  Beneficiaries are entitled to ask for a status of their trust at any time and must be informed of any significant changes or decisions made.
