Conservator
A Conservator is appointed by a court to protect and manage the financial affairs of an individual who is unable to do so due to medical or cognitive impairment. As an appointed Conservator, GaPS:
- Carefully maintains all financial assets including checking and savings accounts, burial funds, and investments.
- Applies for and ensures eligibility for government assistance programs such as Social Security.
- Pays bills and creates budgets for clients to ensuring clients have personal spending funds available.
